A Note From Jeff

Thank you for visiting my website and supporting my campaign. I will be running in the democrat party primary election in September 2017.  The District’s current Council Member, Dan Garodnick, is term limited and I have begun my campaign early to give myself sufficient time to meet with civic associations, community groups, business owners, residents, and elected officials in order to obtain a diverse array of perspectives on issues pertinent to the East Side and to the entire City.  My discussions have covered numerous issues, some of which include:

  • preserving affordable housing and protecting tenants’ rights
  • the need for additional resources for seniors, such as the establishment of a new lifelong learning center
  • the need for additional staffing within the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Buildings to enforce the Noise Code and to inspect work at construction sites in the evenings and on weekends
  • the need to air condition public schools in order to provide a more comfortable learning and teaching environment
  • ways to reduce rat infestations
  • coastal resiliency plans for Waterside Plaza
  • ensuring that proper safety measures are adhered to on construction sites

I will keep you apprised of campaign updates through this website. I also welcome your questions, comments, and concerns–feel free to contact me. Lastly, please consider supporting my campaign by making a contribution and by spreading the word about my candidacy. Your support makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Council District 4
